The start time has been changed to 9AM for the July and August Practical Handgun shoots.
June buffalo rifle scores are now posted on the site. We had a great turn out with some great scores and of course the friendship is always the highlight of the match. Ralph won the pistol caliber match with a score of 8 out of ten. While the lever action match was a shoot off between Gene and Bob G with Gene making the tie breaking shot. And finally John S. had a score 0f 43 on the Buffalo shoot. Great shooting guys as the numbers are getting higher the Buffalo rifle trophy comes more into reach. Who will be the winner for 2016 is in reach of every shooter. And finally our format on the pistol caliber shoot seen to be a big hit .If anyone has any suggestions on adding or changing something to make the match a little more different and challenging please let us more and we will try it out. Looking forward to seeing everyone for the July shoot would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Safe 4th of July and if you are traveling on the highways please be safe and God Bless both our troops that are in harms way and our Law Enforcement .
It was a nice turn out and a great day weather wise for the Cowboy shoot. There was one shooter that went home with another clean match and congratulation to Bull Bigguns for a clean match. Again the Beaver Run Kid took the over all win with the Keller Hollow Kid coming in second, great shooten Kid, both of you. Lead Slinger Leroy finished third with all top three winning in their class and great over all final time to end the day.
Come join us on July 24th for a fun filled day of hand-gunning to benefit our veterans! All proceeds will be given to the Valor Clinic Foundation. Mixed steel and paper targets scored using time plus. Entry fee is a $15 donation or $15 worth of non-perishable can goods.
The items listed above are preferred items. Other items will be accepted. Please keep in mind that cans should be flip top so no can opener is required, and no glass jars.
We will be running squads at 9AM and again at 2PM. Shooters may opt to donate twice and shoot with both the morning and afternoon groups! Mandatory safety briefings will take place at 8:45AM and 1:45PM prior to shooting. If you are not at the safety briefing you will not shoot!
The shoot will consist of 5 stages, 2 steel knockdown, 1 paper and steel, 1 all paper, 1 steel challenge. The minimum round count is approximately 100 rounds. Remember, the minimum round count means you have to shoot clean. BRING EXTRA AMMO!
We are offering pre-registration via Practiscore. This will help us get an idea of expected attendance. As of now we are planning to allow walkon registration beginning at 8:00AM and 1:00PM on the day of the shoot. However, if slots fill up via Practiscore that may change. We encourage all shooters to register via Practiscore to ensure a spot!
