Welcome to the Home of the Mainville Sportsman Club

and

Marauder Cowboy Action Shooting

The Mainville Sportsman's Club is an organization founded in 1965 to promote and enjoy pistol and rifle shooting in all their various forms. We have members involved in bench rest rifle competition, pistol competition, Cowboy Action shooting, and many who just like to come out to the range and spend the day with their favorite rifle or pistol. We are located in the Northeast corner of Pennsylvania near Bloomsburg, Pa. about 5 miles east of exit 242 on I-80 near Mainville, Pa.

Our facility consists of a covered forty bench rifle range, a six lane Cowboy Action Shooting area, and an indoor facility for meetings and other occasions. The rifle range has targets set at 100, 200, and 300 yards.

We have various activities throughout the year for our different shooters. Bench Rest competition, Cowboy Action Shoots, Buffalo Shoots, and our Ground Hog Shoot are scheduled events and are usually open to all.

Please take some time to enjoy our web site and visit us on one of our open shoots.

Should you have any comments, questions, etc., please contact one of our Officers below or leave e-mail with our web master.

    WHAT'S NEW

Our Mainville Club House Gets a New Facelift

After thirty years our club house has finally received a much needed painting on its outside walls, doors, and windows.

Special Thanks to the following people for all their hard work and time donated towards this project:

Arnold Halye for supplying the paint and supporting the project.
Ed Bergen 'Dusty Ed' for managing the project and getting the people together.
Jack Shelly 'Jack Silver', Dan Thole 'Dad Blasted Dan', Barbara Bergen, Dodge Bill Lathrop, Joe Catone, and Mike ????

We've got the building just about finished. The walls have their new color and we've even got the windows trimmed. As soon as we get our sign refreshed and reinstalled the job will be complete.

The Trading Post

Be sure and check out our Trading Post. We've had another recent addition. Just click on the link to go directly to the page.

The New Practice Range

Special Thanks to Arnold Halye and others who have just about finished the benches and cover for our new range. Although the 'Practice Range' has been graded and seeded for about a year or more, we haven't had any benches to shoot from and no overhead cover. Now, thanks to their hard work we have both. Finishing touches will be added as soon as we can get a break in the weather.

The range roof will bear a memorial plague in the memory of: Randall R. Fritz & James W. Bashore.
The moneys were donated to MSC at their families request.

The Barber Shop

Thanks to 'Dusty Ed' and his helpers, 'Dad Blasted Dan', 'Diamond Jack', Joe Catone, and Krusty Ken for the newest addition to our Cowboy Props, Dusty Jed's Barber Shop.

Construction is finished and we are just about finished with the painting of the outside. Most of the outside is done and we're going to wait for Spring to finish the inside.
